JACKSON writes and publishes poems, songs and prose, performs poetry and music, and edits and teaches poetry.

She seeks poems that work whether declaimed loudly or whispered in the mind. In 2013 Mulla Mulla Press will publish her second full-length collection and Fremantle Press a micro-collection. Her other publications include a chapbook with PressPress (‘q finger’, 2011), a self-published collection (‘Coracle’, 2009), and several zines. Her poems have appeared in print and online media including Westerly, BLAST, The West Australian and overseas journals. The National Library of Australia archives her collected poems and online home Proximity, proximitypoetry.com.

In 2012 Jackson was a writer-in-residence at the Fellowship of Australian Writers WA. She is a 2013 Literary Advisor for KSP Writers Centre.

Jackson often features at events. Her guest performances include the Tasmanian, Queensland and WA Poetry Festivals and Melbourne Overload. Jackson founded Perth Poetry Club.

Jackson publishes nonfiction at Raw Text, rawtext.blogspot.com.

She is a member of the Society of Editors WA. She takes commissions for writing, editing and manuscript production. She edited David Barnes’ ‘Prayers Waiting for God’ (Mulla Mulla Press 2011) and Tineke Van der Eecken’s ‘Poetic Jewels’.

She teaches poetry privately and in the community.

Jackson has a Computer Science degree. She worked for 11 years in the IT industry and 10 in the non-profit sector. She wrote and edited articles, reviews, reports, newsletters and manuals. She wrote for employers, clients, magazines and professional associations. She presented papers and tutorials, facilitated groups, mentored trainees and spoke in schools.
